This course focuses largely on the current regulation of animals and the environment in South African law and highlights the scope and application of animal rights and rights of Nature in foreign domestic legal contexts as possible examples from which the South African context can draw lessons.

These modules will focus on the principle and policy issues involved in competition law, the relevance of social justicein competition law within an African context, as well as cross-cutting issues between competition law and related fields, such as mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, labour law, and information technology law.

A specialised degree in Corporate Law will effectively prepare students for a career in corporate and commercial law and enhance employment prospects in the world of commercial practice such as in commercial law firms and other entities that practise and/or apply commercial law/corporate law.
