Prof Muneer Abduroaf Visits Universitas Indonesia Faculty of Law as a Guest Lecturer and a Researcher
From May 6 to May 10, 2024, Prof Muneer Abduroaf, Associate Professor in the Department of Private Law, visited Universitas Indonesia Faculty of Law as a guest lecturer and a researcher. This prestigious engagement highlights Prof Abduroaf’s expertise and commitment to international academic collaboration.
During his visit, Prof Abduroaf presented insightful guest lectures to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. His lectures focused on the application of Islamic law in South Africa, providing students with a comparative perspective on how Islamic legal principles are integrated within the South African legal framework.
In addition to his lectures, Prof Abduroaf conducted research examining the application of the Islamic law of succession in Indonesia. This research aims to draw parallels and contrasts between the implementation of Islamic succession laws in South Africa and Indonesia, contributing to a broader understanding of Islamic legal practices in diverse cultural and legal contexts.
Prof Abduroaf’s visit not only enriched the academic experience of the students at Universitas Indonesia but also strengthened the ties between our institutions, fostering future opportunities for collaboration and exchange.
