Description
The paper assigns a key role to job quality in fostering social development and sustainability. It focuses on two issues: working conditions and the greening of work, and argues that the transition towards a green economy requires the production and employment sectors to undergo a reconversion process. The green economy, it is suggested, can offer new development opportunities to developed as well as emerging countries and create new demands for skills development.
